M HOTEL CHENGDU

We have completed the Interior Design of M Hotel Chengdu, an urban business hotel with 655 rooms. This is the first M Hotel outside of Singapore since Millennium & Copthorne Hotel Launched The M brand in 2000. The hotel interiors is inspired by the rich context of Chengdu where Chengdu is a city known for its care-free lifestyle, and is also referred to China’s “Party city”. With this in mind, the interiors of M Hotel are designed with a contemporary and modern translation of this historical rich and care-free Chengdu lifestyle as M Hotel marks its entry into China. The M Hotel, like a modern Chinese chest-box, unfolds and is choreographed into a series of nested spatial experiences to narrate the modern interpretation of Chengdu city from the reception to the clubhouse in the hotel. Intercontinental Hotel Lake Taihu

WOW has been appointed to design a 300 room lakeside hotel as part of the Suzhou Tourism Bureau’s efforts to introduce high-quality hospitality products to enliven the northwestern shore of Lake Taihu. Thus, a culturally referential and yet progressive design language is used to express a building typology that maximizes lake views and integrates architecture and landscape into a harmonious experience. The building mass blends into the surrounding hills, and introduces a variety of courtyards and terraces that pays homage to Suzhou’s artistic and literary culture.
